I was skeptical about this place and went into it expecting a glazed-over, high-end, corporate eater experience. Thankfully, this was not entirely the case. We came in for dinner on a Friday night and were prepared to wait. We took our table pager and had a drink at the bar. The beer selection was just OK. Not the best in Maple Grove, but better than some. I opted for a cocktail . My G&T was pretty OK and above average. Although, I've had better at Pittsburgh Blue. We waited less than the predicted 20 minutes and were seated at our table. Our server was very pleasant. He was attentive but did not rush us through our meal. I didn't bring my appetite with me that night so I opted for the Chopped salad. My wife had a steak. We were both satisfied with the quality of the food. The meal was overall satisfying and I wouldn't mind going back. The prices are on the high side so be ready to be spendy.

I met a friend here for dinner. We were both trying it out for the first time, having heard great things online about the cornbread, rotisserie, and everything else they offered. We shared their famous cornbread with maple butter. I was really, really looking forward to this but it did not meet expectations, unfortunately. It left a weird taste in my mouth and it just wasn't that great...My friend got a burger: it was fine. I got their famous rotisserie chicken (the classic and not the bbq style) and, again, was totally underwhelmed. My friend asked me how the chicken was, and my reply was, "About the same as the $6 rotisserie chicken across the street at Costco's" -- it's $18 for a HALF rotiserie chicken here, btw, with a side of asparagus and mashed potatoes to be fair. Our server was excellent, she was great and made the eh-food almost worth it.

I'm truly hoping this place was just having an off night as many promising parts were outweighed by some significant missteps. I went with two coworkers for a Christmas dinner, getting here about 20 minutes before the happy hour/dinner rush started in earnest. Parking was a little difficult, but I was able to get a "pager" from the front desk and grab a drink at the bar. Decent selection, although very corporately safe (no big IPA's or ambitious wines), though the bar staff wasn't very knowledgable about what they had. Unfortunately, the difficulties started here. After nursing a beer for 30 minutes at the bar, it was becoming increasingly obvious that people arriving well after us were being seated and we had yet to be called. Whether it was a faulty "pager" or the hostesses simply forgetting about us, we ended up waiting almost an hour for a table. On the recommendation of one of my coworkers, we ended up getting some cornbread and calamari. Both were great, especially the maple butter for the cornbread. I ended up having their shortrib entree, another treat. It absolutely fell apart on my fork and tasted great. We finished with the chocolate cake, another winner. The others at my table got the scallops and meatloaf for their meals, with the scallops a clear highlight. Service at the table again fell a little short unfortunately. A forgotten entree order, unfilled water glasses (not un-refilled, never filled) and a very slow pace of service knocked this place down a couple pegs. I'd definitely visit again for the food and hope they'll have the opening jitters worked out by then.

So looking forward to a mother's day dinner here...had worked..finished .gotten there and ordered my drink! Tried to order a chicken sandwich with just chicken and their bread which had NEVER been a problem before. Love love LOVED this place and had looked forward to it all day. They refused to make it saying it wasn't on their current me u at 330 on a sunday. They said they would check with the kitchen Mgr and they said absolutely not possible. I asked again saying just the chicken and the bun..they said absolutely no even though my 6 yr old could order the chicken and their was bread as a side on the menu. She was more than happy to get the bill but seemed surprised that I cancelled my drink order. Manager came over as we were walking out offering to make it..our server must've gotten because at that point didn't even want to discuss it...by that point I was ordering my steak and lemon drop from Pittsburgh blue across the street...thanks for not putting yourself out for someone who's a mom that had to work on Mother's day..all that it would've taken was what boiled down to chicken on a bun! Raved about you all day at work at u of mn..they'll get the "rave" about you tomorrow!! Will give them my high recommendation to head across the street! Thanks PITTSBURGH BlUE for I quote..."We are easy...we can make anything work!" Enjoyed our service...our appetizers...our steaks..our drinks...and our dessert! Was absolutely worth heading over!

Ordered the jerk chicken appetizer and this was plenty for three people. We all thought it was above average but not excellent. The wine list was average and so were the prices. Two of us ordered sea bass and thought it was average. The other person ordered Thai chicken salad and really liked it. We called ahead of time for reservations and they wouldn't accept it. They told us we would have no issues getting in, but we waited an hour for a table. Service was average. Overall this was an average dining experience.

Great food and daily specials. A bit spendy but worth it every once in a while. Average suburban bar-grill ambiance but nicer than average decor. Can't beat the rotisserie chicken. Drinks are nothing special and standard beer options.

If only we had stopped at the Buffalo shrimp... Went to Redstone for brunch yesterday, and started out with some promise and went downhill from there. Fortunately, I had the foresight to grab the gift cards at Costco across the street so at least there was ostensibly a 20% discount. The gooey morning bread was massive for four of us, but tasty. Meh sparkling on the wine list, bloodys were made with pepar vodka. Buddy Holly wasn't much of a waiter, probably should have sat in Marilyn Monroe's section.... He sort of tried. On to the food - good size menu, lots to choose from you, and we ended up with the Buffalo shrimp, and three brunch items. Prices are on the mid to high side. Buffalo shrimp were delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned and out right away. The brunch items took a long time, and they weren't that busy, but fortunately we were not in a rush. Mains consisted of: Smoked salmon omelet requested with crispy hash browns. The eggs were not that warm, quite overcooked, as was the smoked salmon, two of us didn't finish it. why put a dollop of cream cheese on the top and not in? Why tiny slices of asparagus stalk as a garnish - couldn't spare a tip of asparagus? Somehow extra crispy really turned out to be extra soggy and mushy, soaked in butter/oil. In true Minnesota fashion, and because it was so painful and we were so hungry, we didn't send anything back. Breakfast sliders were ok, french toast was ok - weird dry turkey sausage. I know it is turkey and it won't taste like pork, but looked like a cardboard insert. If I ever return, will be for the shrimp and I will sit at the bar.

Banana Creme pie; there's no need to say much more, it's the best I've ever eaten. Almost too much for one person ... but I try.

Awesome awesome awesome! We started our meal off with the fondu pot which was the best we've had. My wife had the chicken and BBQ rib combo and I had the dry aged ny strip. Very well prepared and presented. The wait staff did a tremendous job.

Excellent rotisserie chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Desserts are meant to be shared because they are HUGE. Deconstructed banana cream pie and chocolate chip cookie sundae were too much food for three of us but both were delicious.

Has a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is good, but not great. I like the jumbo buffalo shrimp and fondu. It's a little pricey fir what you get. Also, It can get crowded at busy times so reservations are recommended on popular days.

I haven't been to a Redstone in awhile. I eyed this across the street last week and couldn't wait to get over here. The location of the building I love, because in this burb, it shares nothing. I love the cool division of the rooms, and each section seems to have their own vibe. I got there when it opened for lunch and I knew exactly what I wanted. The buffalo jumbo shrimp starter. The hostess mentioned the soup wild mushroom with brandy cream. I love mushroom soup, and it was filled with mushrooms yet still had plenty of liquid. Since I don't drink that's the only way I get my booze. The shrimp came with 5. I was able to eat 2. The soup did me in. Plus they feature a soup special daily, so you will always know what it is. Not on Sunday because they have what looks like a fabulous brunch. My waitress Erica, was as good as it gets. First time I was able to actually have a decent conversation and great service. I happened to overhear an odd exchange. 3 women maybe 20 years my senior were carded. No the servers aren't being jerks. City politics are. You look like you're ready to crawl into the crypt, tough, let's see your ID. So don't let this put you off. It's a little different than the others. No live bands, no middle aged pick ups. It doesn't seem to have the craziness that the others have. As soon as I sat down, I knew it would be my favorite Redstone go to, and the experience just kept getting better and better.

Started at the bar, had a bit of a snafu with our wings appetizer but it was corrected at the table when they tried to deliver it. Rotisserie chicken salad was amazing, as well as the melt-in-your-mouth spare rib special and garlic mashed potatoes off the specials menu. Finished off with a bottle of wine recommended by the server. A little pricey, but delicious and fun night out!

Took my wife and family to redstone on Saturday, May 18 for a pre-Mother's day dinner. Fisrt experience at the Redstone in Maple Grove. Well worth the visit! Our server, Paul, was awesome! Great attention and tolerance, as we had our two 3 year old gransons with us. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and made some great recommendations for us. The cheese fondu appetizer is worth the trip all on its own. All of us were very pleased with our entrees and the desserts were huge and very tasty. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I went to Redstone on a busy Friday Night. We had been there before for lunch and loved the food, we both had meatloaf which was delicious! The service was great and the atmosphere very cozy. We then went for dinner another night. The food was ok, if I had a second to enjoy it. Our server kept coming to our table every 5 minutes to chat. He not only was asking how our meal was every 5 minutes but asked about our personal lives. Wanted to know everything about us which is fine if you ask and then leave but he just stood at our table asking more and more questions. I just wanted to have a nice dinner with my husband not my husband and the server. I did not know how to tell this guy to lay off and leave us alone. We won't be back for dinner but def for lunch.

I have never been to a Redstone before, but I will definately be back ! As soon as you walk into the door, you smell the rotisserie, I instantly began drewling. The decor is nice, the server was solid, but it is all about the food. I had to have something that was being rotisseried, I chose the roto chicken sandwich and it was the best meal I have had in a long time. My friends had a roto turkey sandwich and a burger and all of us agreed, excellent. The pricing wasn't bad at all for the quality of the overall experience and my god the rotisserie! Great food, fun times, my new favorite.

The challenge for Redstone is to consistently deliver food and service which matches the nice ambience and higher prices. At lunch on Saturday they fell short. But first the good news. It was a cold and windy day, so the warm and dark felt very inviting. The server (sorry, didn't get her name) was friendly and attentive. My partners blue cheese burger delivered what was promised. I really like the way RG serves French fries too in a metal box! Keeps em warm and crispy. A $12 burger and fries should be good and it was. So what went wrong? Two words: Meat Loaf. Who wants a piece of meatloaf cooked the day before and reheated on a grill? That's leftovers. No good- it was dry and rather flavorless. Garlic mashed potatoes....well, they're cheap and filling, so they've got that going for them. Here's the deal RG, you have competition nearby and your prices are higher. You better deliver next time or else....Three stars for cutting corners but not prices.

The best walleye in the town. Highly recommended. A bit pricey but well worth it. Server been really polite and she was on top of here job. Beer selection is wide and tempting. If you are at Hilton garden inn you will get a VIP ticket for this place and it means they will give you nothing but a corner seamy. Im not joking.

Overall this is a very good restaurant. The food is good and fredh, the staff are attentive, my only concern was that they tried to ID my father who is 75 years old, when he ordered a Miller Lite. Really? I understand your rules of ID-ing and making sure people are of the age to drink alcohol, however carding my father, and then ID-ing the World War II veteran in the wheelchair who came in behind us, seems a bit over-the-top. The brunch was good, however, it is a menu/order brunch (vs buffet style brunch). The cornbread, and the breakfast bread - their specialty, are both excellent. Overall a good restaurant. I would have given five stars if not for the odd circumstances/requirements around carding elderly guests who wanted to have a beer with their Sunday brunch.

This place gets 3 stars because my dish was pretty good. My sister was having a birthday dinner here, our first time. We called and made reservations for 14 four days in advance. They called us the day of her dinner to confirm we were still coming and if it was still party of 14. I told them yes. Got to the restaurant and they had the table set for 10! I specifically said 14!! I asked the waiter what happened he said "we are fully booked I cannot pull a table up but we can squeeze in and add chairs" are you serious right now???!! If I had known this I would've cancelled my reservations. We all squeezed in. I was a bit annoyed at this point. I ordered the grilled Cajun salmon, with mango salsa, broccoli, and rice pilaf. It was delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly & full of flavor. Sadly this is the only positive thing I have to say. We needed a few water refills, asked our waiter he said he would come back with a pitcher. Waited 10 min, still NO water! He was too busy trying to cater to the 2 couples sitting in out area. We asked him again for water....10 min later...nothing!! At this point I'm ready to just walk out. After eating our dinner with NO water he decides to come over when we are finished to refill our beverages. THE WORST SERVICE for such a nice restaurant! I don't care how busy it gets, don't forget about your customers. I work in customer service I know how it gets but I never fail to make each & every one of my customers feel special & like I didn't forget about them. Last but not least, he messes up our bill. Go figure. I will not come Back here because the service was horrible.

We stopped in for a family dinner. It was a cold evening so I was surprised at how packed and busy they were. Luckily we had made reservations and were seated immediately. Our waitress was over quickly to introduce herself and go over dinner specials. Our drinks were brought out fast and we placed our orders. I was able to try their Lobster Bisque to start. So delicious! There was a great amount of lobster meat in the soup which made this girl extremely happy! For my main course I went with the crab cakes. My smile did not disappear from my face as the crab cakes were perfect. They had fantastic seasoning and on the French fries which accompanied them. The service was top notch for the entire evening. Our drinks were always full and a smile on her face! The only oddity of the evening was their lighting. I don't have an issue with my eyesight but I had to turn my phone into a flash light to read the menu. I do understand you want a specific ambiance but it didn't need to be that dark. Overall it is a fabulous place for a nice dinner. Great food and great service!

We've been here several times since they opened after Christmas. The menus has a few new items that aren't at all locations. All of our entrees have been wonderful. The staff is courteous! Nicholas is awesome! He took time out to give us a tour on our first visit. Can't wait for the patio to open!!

Best thing about this experience was dining with good friends. That could be the savior of any near failed adventure. Sort of what happened here. The restaurant is a mix of formal, traditional, and modern. We came with a large group for a birthday dinner. After reservations were made, 2 more diners were joining, which the restaurant was notified of before arrival. Still, they said they didn't have room, gave us two chairs, and we crammed together at the table. Our server said all the tables were reserved. I watched for an hour and a half two empty tables stay empty while we were there. Yet no one offered to bring a table over. Must have some ghosts dining here. Our server needed help. He seemed stressed and too frantic at times. I got stressed watching him. When the food came it was a little chaotic with servers trying to figure out where everything went, it stopped conversations at the table, but eventually we all got our food. Other issues were that I sat with an empty water glass for a while. When he brought my friend sitting next to me his mixed drink he spilled some of it on my white jacket. Might be because we were crammed together, but what do I know. I had the steakhouse salad, medium rare. It came with lettuce, asparagus, tomato, onions, and a corn salsa. I nixed the bacon and cheese crumbles...tryin' to survive the holidays. You know. The steak was good but really needed some seasoning, salt would have went a long way. It came with a toothpick that said medium rare, as if I couldn't tell by looking at it. All the toppings were also separated on the plate. Kinda weird, I prefer not having to do the work of mixing it together. I'm lazy, judge me, I don't care. The salad was fine, but not worth $16. It's maybe 4 ounces of steak with some vegetables. What's with the food charge on this Redstone? I also ordered a beer, Surly Furious. $8. That is insane for this beer. I've ordered it plenty, and I got jacked here! I have no problem paying for damn good food. This wasn't really anything amazing. All the dishes around me looked pretty good though, my friends seemed to enjoy their meals, that's whats important on an occasion like this. Had the service been better maybe a 3...maybe.

When you're in Maple Grove, Redstone is one of your better options. I don't care much for meat dominant plates so I've opted for the salads in the past, and they are really, really good. I've had a few appetizers, and they're nothing special. The good news is that they bring out house cornbread for you to monch on in lieu of an app. The brunch menu is pretty plain, but it gets the job done if you're stuck in the suburbs.

My husband and I dined at the new Maple Grove location for the first time last week. They had a great outdoor patio, unfortunately it was raining when we were there. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. My husband had the walleye special which he thought was amazing and was a great sized portion. I had the Rotisserie Turkey Sandwich which was good, but I've had better. Our server was great and had some great recommendations. I think they are deserving of 4 stars.

You want bang for your buck? I advise going elsewhere. This place is just another boring upscale American restaurant high on prices and low on satisfaction. The food is underwhelmingly mediocre for the price point--$39 filet/$38 ribeye/$37 NY/$30 prime rib. The steaks come with garlic mashed or loaded baked taters and seasonal veggies. I'd much prefer the option of a soup or salad add-on and some table bread as is offered at many similar type restaurants. Most places selling you a $40 entree will let you add a house/wedge/Caesar salad for a couple bucks, not the full menu price of $8-$9 as is the practice here. We spotted the large unappealing hunks of broccoli on the plates of many others in the dining room and opted to sub out for asparagus. Sadly, the grilled asparagus was probably the most flavorful part of the meal. I ordered the 14oz. Prime rib. While not the worst I've had, I can say with 100% confidence that I've had better in the $15-$20 price range at what some may consider to be lesser local restaurants/cafes/diners. I've eaten prime rib across the country, and the vast majority of places send it out with a little sidecar of a horseradish type dip. Not here, though now that I think about it, the prime at their own Minnetonka location used to have it come standard a few years ago. Wonder why they would change this part of a classic steak? It comes with a gravy boat of au jus, which thankfully added a little flavor to an otherwise sadly bland cut of meat. The loaded baked potato might have tasted like something if I was loaded or baked myself. There were paltry amounts of cheese, sour cream, and bacon on it; certainly not enough to merit such a title. Again, bland and unbefitting of a restaurant of this $$$ level. Thanks again to my gravy boat of au jus, I was able to add a splash of taste to it. Still, I left 3/4 of it untouched, which surprised my wife as there are typically never any survivors on my plate. With a Surly Furious to start and a glass of pinot noir to go with the red meat, my portion of the meal was $48.50 pretax. The wife's selections (filet, soup, cocktail, glass of wine) brought our total to $119.50. After tax and tip for decent not great service, $150 for a meal that impressed neither of us and made us wish we had gone elsewhere twice or thrice. Redstone, I most likely will not be coming back.

Don't think for a second this place will be anything like the Eden Prairie location. I can't say the food at Redstone in EP is so amazing that its the reason for going. Personally, I think its the whole experience of the cavernous bar area, lighting, architecture, and clientele that make it what it is. That said, this location is a shell of that. Built out of a closed down Boston's restaurant, it is lacking the large social bar area, the clientele, and the location (along the highway). I can't exactly see what will differentiate it from the tons of choices available in Maple Grove. Good luck to them, but this is surely not the Redstone you expect.

I'll start with this, I've never gone to Redstone without the benefit of a gift card that I usually get at Christmas time. Usually leads to a couple visits to RS a year. Not that the food or service is bad or anything to the point. However, I don't see the point to paying for their generic American food when I can spend the same money at a local, more enthused, better, and more satisfying place. But, you get gift cards, you use them eh? That said, this location can be a nightmare. They share a parking lot with Granite City which makes parking here sometimes impossible. Therefore, if it's a Friday night or Saturday night and you're going at peak dinner times, plan to possibly park across the street in Trader Joe's parking lot. Knowing this, nailed down reservations for 5.45 in a hope to beat the dinner rush - which we did. Got seated in the bar area, which, is never really a bad thing. Good TV viewing, and the booths have high enough backs to prevent chatter carry over from the table around you. I did have a spy peaking out from behind the curtain to the table parallel with us in the dining area. Almost had to use the steak knife I was provided as a means of defending my slab of dead meat, but, was a wee little fella, so they got a pass.... this time. Service was spot on. Katie did a great job in taking care of us. I went with the NY Strip, done medium rare with mashed taters. Lady friend opted for the Redstone burger with fries. Very brief wait for food as we watched some football, discussed the Wild sucking, and laughed at the spy from beyond the curtain. Food arrived, and it looked really good. Steak was a bit more on the medium side, but, so goes life. What kind of irritated me was the broccoli I got. Steamed to the point of barely being thawed out and that was it. I literally, no exaggeration, had to use my steak knife to cut the stalks apart. Kind of odd to have to lumberjack broccoli at a table. Steak was nice and lean, had good flavor and was enjoyable besides the over cook that took some juice out. Mashed taters were ok. Nothing to write home about. Burger was good and fries weren't over salted, so no complaints from the more beautiful side of the table. All in all, still got another card to use, so one more visit. I'm thinking it'll be a fondue lunch visit.

Came here with my husband on Valentines. Place was very busy but the host staff seemed to have everything under control. I made reservations, and my husband and I were seated right away and we were a booth by the bar. I LOVE the space here. It gave off the feelings like I was in a chalet or grand lodge room with a big fireplace in the waiting area. I'm not used to going out of the city for a nice meal but I quite enjoy the elbow room and booths that can fit 6 people... if you want to be at a trendy steak house in MSP you are going to be elbow to elbow, tables squished together and being able to hear the conversation next to you. Here's what to get: JUMBO buffalo shrimp 16oz Cajun Ribeye Here's what to pass on: We also got the calamari (too soggy, and not crisp), and dry aged 16oz NY strip (dry and less flavorful than the Cajun ribeye) and garlic parm caesar salad was incredibly garlic, and I adore garlic. It was so much so that it stung my mouth. Server was at 90%. Knowledgable about the food, and verified with us to the 'T' how we want our steaks. She forgot to bring out my salad, minor mistake since I'm sure they were swamped on Vday.

Came here with a larger group of 14 for a friend's birthday dinner. I didn't make the reservation but was told that they had tried to call earlier to update it from 12 to 14 but it was apparent they didn't pass the message on since our table was set up for 12. Waiter was a bit frazzled and kept on saying repeatedly that due to the number of reservations we can't add another table, which we got and we accomodated and said we would make it work, no big deal, so not sure if there was a gap in communication with the staff and he was trying to make up for the mistake? Not sure...We fit just fine with room to spare, we don't mind being a little cozy, we are all friends here! This is my third time to Redstone, first time was at the original location in Eden Prairie. I have no complaints about the food, each time though service has been subpar. They are always busy, especially with the location smack dab in the middle of Arbor Lakes in Maple Grove (smart move) so I feel like servers rush or seem frazzled. This time was the same deal, he was nice enough, but you can tell there were issues. Normally, knowing how the restaurant biz works, when you put orders in, the runners know where to go with the dishes since most restaurants number them off. There was a lot of starting off at the wrong side of our table or giving someone the wrong dish. Again, might have been an off night for the server, who knows? If I was just rating the food, this review would be for 4 stars. Each time I've eaten here, anything I have is pretty good. One of my favorites is their Rotisserie chicken chopped salad, please add blue cheese crumbles! Comes with golden raisins and cornbread croutons (yummy!). Very sizable portion, I ate every last bite and the price is good at $14.95. Decor wise, looks similar to Axel's, if you've been there, but love to see the chicken rotating in the rotisserie, so good! If you plan to come on a weekend, no matter if it is a holiday or not, this place is always packed. Each time I've come, it's been in the winter, They have a nice patio area that I would like to try when it's warm out. Holiday special they have a butternut squash soup (didn't get it this time) but I've gotten it the other two times I've been here and it's delish! Got my husband hooked who usually doesn't like those kinds of soups.

Not too thrilled tonight... Second visit tonight, first time having dinner. We dropped 150 bucks for two adults and one kid (who only ate an appetizer). I don't mind dropping a couple of Ben Franklins on dinner. But I expect better food and better service. We met another couple and all of us had the same sentiments about dinner. Our friends said it best. It was like an expensive Applebee's (with better cuts of beef and bigger shrimp). In addition, my sirloin was undercooked, I got a baked potato instead of mashed, our server had a weird attitude, and there was a ridiculous number of flies out on the patio. Obviously, I don't think they can do much about flies outside. But I expect perfect orders, high quality food, and impeccable service in this price range. I wish we went to Biaggi's on the other side of the parking lot. -Daddy Maxx Retro

Amazingly good food and friendly service. Very attentive. Their wedge salad is delightful. At Christmas time they have some really outstanding deserts. The rest of the time it seems like banana cream pie is what they offer. I have never had a disappointing meal here. I always want to come back.

First things first: Nick is probably the most professional server I've ever encountered. He knows the menus, his delivery is polished and grateful and he is very attentive. We started with the crab and avocado wontons. Beautiful presentation. The bed of kale and beet salad was very flavorful, but I can't say as much for the wontons themselves. My garlic spinach flatbread was fantastic. I love garlic but am glad it didn't overpower the dish here. There was a perfect balance of spinach, artichoke, garlic, and cheese. The whole thing was incredibly fresh and we both enjoyed it. I also ordered an app-size Caesar salad. Eh... It was just okay. Either the dressing didn't have enough flavor to be noticed or there wasn't enough dressing. I was never able to put my finger on it. My husband ordered a prime rib sandwich (glorified French dip), which he said was good, but that Granite City makes a better one. He did say the loaded baked potato he ordered as a side was impressive and tasty. We both drank water. It's not a big deal to us to spend $70 at a place like this, especially considering the service Nick provided. But honestly, I don't think we got $70 worth in flavor on our plates.

Classy upscale bar and grill feel. The baby back ribs are delicious! The burgers are fantastic! And the banana cream dessert is scrupulous. The Stoli doli is a tasty treat also!

Very delicious new york strip. Probably this is the best steak i tried during my stay here in MN. My friends feedback on their food are awesome too and they complete the foods literally clean. The waitress are very fast and kind also.

This is a real classy suburban joint, but it commited one of my culinary pet peeves which is food that is not hot. It was warm but not hot. Anyways I had the tomato bisque, which could have used a little more flavor, but was pretty good. I then had their signature burger. Nice and big. Cooked how I ordered it, but for how much they are charging it should have been a little more satisfying. Staff was great in my opinion. Do try this place.

I don't even know why I love this place so much! The large inviting fireplace inside in the winter and the clean patio outside during the summer just sit well with me. There is quite a large selection of wine, and the food always tastes so good with it! Sometimes there is a wait for a table but they always predict the wait within a few minutes.

We were here several weeks ago with a group and our experience and food were ok. We thought to give it another try just the two of us. My husband ordered a house salad and the crusted walleye. He could see his salad sitting at the kitchen counter for about 20 minutes which was disappointing. I ordered a special - short rib gnocchi. No thanks - watery, blah on the gnocchi and overall bland. My husband agreed mine was not good at all. I ate some of the short rib and left the rest. My husband's entree was delicious, however. They offered a complimentary dessert or to send something else with us to make up for the meal, but left the bill as was. We took nothing as we were off to the movies. So, mixed reviews. If we go again, I'll be getting the walleye! Also, they cannot control the temperature setting very well - freezing, hot, freezing, hot, etc. Wear layers!

Today was my first birthday as a wife and my husband took me here. It was close to our plan for the night and home. We ordered the cajun ribeye and ribs. Both were very flavorful. Steak was cooked to perfection medium rare, ribs fell off the bone. I ate like a man! Yum!! Service was great! Our glasses were never low.

I am in a Maple Grove 10 -14 days per month and Redstone is one of my go to spots and is usually very good. This eve I was in and ordered on of my favorite salads their Ceaser. What a disappointment! It is usually hearts of Romaine, full leaves, the traditional with anchovies if requested. This eve I was served a plate of shredded lettuce, some of which was not Romaine. No note on the menu, no input from the server. What a joke! I talked with the manager and was informed that they had complaints from people that did not want to cut their lettuce!!! Maybe they should offer a blended version in a glass with a straw! How sad. My next course was as expected and very good. Redstone is trying to be somewhat upscale and in general do it well, but to see them lower themselves to the lower common denominator is a shame.

I took my boyfriend here on his birthday to celebrate and it was not a special experience. We 1st ate outside but between the flies on our table and getting bitten up by the bugs and the loud traffic right on the street, we switched to indoor seating. I first want to say our server outside was great, very outgoing and really nice lady with good service. Once we got switched inside it was a little different story. Our server inside was very lackadaisical and we ordered a ribeye and the coconut halibut (which my halibut was absolutely amazing), but when our food came we didn't have any silver wear so had to ask for it. She gave us silver wear but no napkins, then we had to ask for that once she finally came back and overall the food was good but every time we needed something we had to chance down our server and a lot of the times she was just chatting with the other servers. The thing that really got me and makes me never want to go back is that I can drop $180 on a meal for two and they can't even include a complementary dessert to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday?!?! Don't ever plan on going back.

The atmosphere and decor were amazing, very beautiful. The staff was professional and our waitress was super sweet and did a great job. Everyone in my party was happy with their food. I ordered a hamburger and fries, and it was pretty good, but kind of bland. There weren't a lot of condiment sauces on it , even though it said it came with mayo and mustard i couldn't even taste them. Pickles seem home made which was nice, and it had tomato and shredded lettuce (i can't stand shredded lettuce bc it's so messy so i scraped mine off.) All in all a good experience, i give the food three stars but because of the staff and ambiance i gave it a total of 4 stars :) They also were very nice to my 1 yr old son

Went for appetizers and drinks after work on a Friday evening. First off the place reeks of wood smoke. You see they have spit roasted chickens and the smoke permeates the restaurant. Not a large selection of tap beers, and for some reason they don't have Beefeater gin. The appetizer menu wasn't particularly interesting, we had Buffalo shrimp ($18 for 5 shrimp) and wings. We waited 20 minutes for our espresso - and it was barely luke warm - the server said "there was a problem with the machine." The service was very slow. Nothing special, no reason to go back.

The food can be a little pricy for an American restaurant but I have never had a bad meal here and the staff has always been on top of everything. I especially like the scallops, lobster bisque, and Buffalo shrimp.

Sadly, this place is not as impressive as when it first opened. Food quality is mediocre, portions smaller and prices higher. No longer makes my list of dining options whenever I am in the area.

My husband and I had a lovely meal here last weekend. With 5:45 reservations we were seated as soon as we checked in. The dining room was dimly lit and even though it was a busy night, the noise level was comfortable. We started with the buffalo shrimp appetizer, which my husband says is the best. I had a strip steak for me, which was cooked perfectly, however the blue cheese crust was completely melted leaving very little left. The broccoli that was served with it as the seasonal vegetable was quite large and undercooked, making it a little difficult to eat and the mashed potatoes were good, but under seasoned. My husband had the prime beef dip sandwich, but felt it wasn't up to par with others he's had, but just ok. His came with your basic run of the mill french fries; nothing special. We ended our meals with a slice of key lime pie and carrot cake, both were so enormous they couldn't be finished there, so we opted to take home our leftovers, both were delicious, though. Although there were some misses in both of the meals we ordered, we will be back. Service was very good and there are a few things on the menu that still look like they are worth checking out. Just be aware, parking can be tricky, especially on a busy weekend night.

Another chain like place in Maple Grove, wow I'm surprised! I know this is different and is a nice addition to the neighborhood but I just wish it was a little different than the others. Now they do have a really nice outdoor patio and bar and the restaurant indoor is very nice with that dark wood supper club feel to it. My only issue is that it is really not the different than so many other places. If I wanted to go out and have a $46 steak for dinner and a very nice bottle of wine I would have a really hard time deciding between Redstone and Pittsburg Blue. That would go for about 3/4's of the menu actually, I can find those dishes within a five block radius at 2 or 3 other places with at least one of those being the same amount of money and the other one or two being cheaper. Now I know price doesn't guarantee quality but here it seems to and that's a good thing. There are more then enough people in Maple Grove clamoring to come in and drop $150 for a steak and a glass of wine so I'll let them enjoy. I'll drop in for a drink and some good snacks on the patio during the summer months and spend my dining dollars in a different manner. KT

This is a solid suburban restaurant. Like the suburbs, it's rather generic in its mall parking lot location, food and ambiance. We tried the loaded baked potato, entree salad and prime rib sandwich. All were quite good and were carefully prepared with quality ingredients. For example, the bacon used on the potato and salad was thick, meaty and crispy. The lettuce on the salad was green and fresh. Everything we tried here was well executed. It's not the most memorable restaurant but is certainly a place to get an excellent meal if you're in the area. The service here was also pretty good. We never had to ask for beverage refills as we were always presented with a fresh glass well before the first was finished. I was kind of annoyed our waitress tried to up-sell us some cornbread with the salad without mentioning it was $4. It's fine if you want to up-sell but do not leave out the cost.

I love the Minnetonka location and was very excited to try the new MG location. I ran in for a quick business lunch, and like always the Gouda fondue was awesome. The flat bread pizza was good, but not as crispy as normal. The reason the 2 stars is please don't serve me brown lettuce. Old and nasty and we all can see its brown? I ordered a simple wedge salad. Iceberg lettuce is like $1.19 a head, please keep it fresh! The second one was still a little brown?? Please keep it fresh... Thank you.

I went to Redstone for a birthday dinner. For a suburban limited chain restaurant, I think it is one of the better ones, a good upscale choice for things such as birthday celebrations. If I lived in the areas they are in I would probably frequent them - the buffalo shrimp were great. The service was really good and I liked the warm atmosphere. It really can suit families, ladies who dine out with white wine, business dinners and dates.

I've lived in Maple Grove for over 4 years and finally got a Redstone (it used to be a Boston's). I recently stopped there for dinner with a friend, who also had never been there. We were hoping to score a table on the patio, but that didn't work out due to the weather. We didn't have a reservation, but only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. We were quickly seated, brought water and given the specials for the evening. I had heard that the rotisserie chicken was a solid choice and order that. We also got the corn bread and the rotisserie chicken salad. Let me warn you, the corn bread is the size of a small pizza and about 2 inches thick. It's COMPLETELY worth it and only $9! It comes served with maple butter, which you should apply liberally; don't skimp on it, seriously. So, I was only expecting a small portion of chicken, since the dish was only $16. What showed up was half a chicken, a decent helping of homemade mash and a handfull of grill asparagus. The food was amazing, I was really impressed. I just figured it was another box joint with similar food to everyone else around them. The chicken has a unique smokey flavor, falls right off the bone and the skin had a slight crisp. You have to try this, especially if it's your first visit. The service is great, very friendly staff and very quick service. I hope they can keep up the level of service and continue to serve amazing eats.

This place is pricey and has no happy hour specials. That being said, the food is good especially the buffalo shrimp appetizer. The house cocktails are yummy and there is a pretty good wine selection. The house-made pineapple vodka is a "must try"! I suggest trying this place for lunch if you wanna save a few bucks.

Happy Hour after a meeting. We ended up eating off the regular menu. Our server (and I wish I could remember his name) was a total professional: fun to talk to, engaged but not checking in too much. My chopped chicken salad with a honey lime dressing was super fresh and delicious. The cornbread with honey butter is a must. generous wine pour. Lots of co-worker type groups and it has a really nice vibe for that or a dinner date.

My husband and I went here on New Years Eve. We had a 10pm reservation and was seated immediately as we walked thru the door. The restaurant is beautiful and the setting is elegant and romantic for any occasion. The food was perfect and we didn't have to wait very long due to the restaurant being packed. I ordered the ribs and French Fries and my husband ordered the Grilled Meatloaf with mash potatoes. I have to say the portion are huge for the amount of money you pay. We ended up taking most of our food home. The service is perfect as expected and the staff was very friendly. If you are looking for a fancy restaurant this is definitely the place. It's currently my favorite.

I came here with my boyfriend the other night as we were given giftcards ($100). We got in at around 6:00 PM; understandably, the wait was around 30 minutes as it was a Saturday night. When we were seated however, we were in the room to the right and there were multiple empty tables around so it was a bit confusing as to why we waited so long. We ordered a couple beers and hard ciders to drink, an appetizer, and two steaks. For the appetizer, we shared the ahi tuna. It was on a bed of lightly dressed cabbage and came with a vinegar/soy dipping sauce and some wasabi. The wasabi was much harder than I expected; as if it were sitting out for awhile and hardened up. It tasted fine though as I mixed it in to my sauce. I liked the ahi tuna as it was seasoned appropriately with pepper on the side. My boyfriend however thought it was tasteless. He ordered the New York strip, medium rare, with the garlic mashed potatoes. The steak tasted just 'ok'; nothing fantastic. The potatoes weren't anything special, either. I ordered the prime rib, medium rare. I'm normally not one to complain about the way food looks, but it looked unappetizing. It looked completely raw. It tasted more rare than I would have liked and I regret not sending it back. About half of the steak was pure fat as well. A little fat is understandable, but I had to cut a lot of it out. I ordered it with the loaded baked potato. The potato wasn't anything special either; it had very little filling and wasn't memorable. Overall, I was disappointed. For a $140 bill, I expected much more.

Nice outdoor space (if you don't mind the interstate noise). Small gluten free menu - recommend the chicken lettuce wraps. A bit over priced for what you get but a decent option if you are looking for low key suburban dining and don't want to go to Pittsburg Blue. Best part of the experience was the wine selection - had a very nice bottle of Cotes du Rhone for $39.

Very good!!! Stopped in for dinner but end up just getting Buffalo Wings and a Caesar Salad but it was so filling that is all I needed. Service by Justin the Bartender was excellent. I'd go back!!

Disappointing. Special cajun ribeye had good flavor and done to order but cool temp and thickness not as described by server. Ordered a second entree of grouper, which was excellent. Ribeye was about 1 inch thick. Husband's baby back ribs also excellent. Server seemed put out when husband ordered fresh pot of coffee at beginning of service for his beverage & never refilled. He finally was able to flag down the manager for a refill. I was charged also full price for house cab during happy hour. No compensation issued for anything on bill. We're done with this place, back to Pittsburgh Blue we go.

Rounding down from 3.5 stars. There aren't wings on their menu but just ask for them - we got the grilled wings and they were deelish. Not your traditional sauced or buffalo wings - just juicy, well seasoned wings that really stand on their own. I also got the chopped rotisserie salad which was solid (a little sweet with the lime honey dressing). Others at the table got the rotisserie sandwich, ribs and a side of beans and all of it was good. Nothing will blow you away but everything was decent for a chain type of place. Service was excellent - our waitress was super nice.

3.5 stars. Dinner for 4 at 715pm on a Friday night. Thank goodness I had made a reservation bc the entrance was getting a little stuffy with people and lit pagers. Waitress: very nice but we were left waiting for awhile. No surprise with the capacity of the restaurant though. I'm just appreciative that she was genuinely friendly every time she stopped by without the "OMG I'm so tired" look on her face. Atmosphere: it's quaint, nicely lit, but a but noisy where we were sitting [by the wine cellar]. A little hard to hold a conversation without a "huh?" and repetition of lines. Finding parking was a bit crazy with the shared lot between Redstone and Granite City. It was a little like finding parking at the mall one week before Christmas. Food: I had the braised short rib. No bone. Fall-off type of meat. Juicy. It could've been seasoned a bit more but there's always the fine line to overdoing it. The natural juices were just fine. Food had nice presentation. Desserts looked tempting but I did not have any room left in my tummy :-( Price: everything was reasonably priced for a "$$" restaurant. I didn't give the steaks a chance yet but just thinking I'd rather go to a "real" steakhouse if I'm paying the same price. Would I return? I think so. Although I'm not wow-ed by them, I enjoyed my food and service. I'd like to try other dishes, sit in other parts of the restaurant, and try lunch and happy hour. Perhaps my rating may change [for the better I hope].

I thought the service and food was decent but there was nothing amazing about the restaurant. If you like meat and potatoes then this is your place. One good thing I found was that the portions were huge! We ordered the corn bread as an appetizer and had left overs for two days! This would be a good place to take Mom and Pop but not foodie friends.

Service has always been top notch! We bought a gift card from Costco, $80 for a $100 card and it was worth it! Been back twice since. I will be back to Costco to pick up a few more cards because every penny saved counts, especially when I know this will be our "go to" spot. It's a little on the pricier side but you get what you pay for. So far, I have tried the Lobster Bisque... Delish! The scallops with lobster cream, garlic spinach, truffled mashed potatoes garnished with lobster & micro-greens.. AMAZING! The hubby had a Burger which he raved about and the Ribeye steak which he also Loved! Last time we went we also ordered the cheese plate... pretty forgettable. It had Brie, Parmesan, goat cheese, Blue cheese, and some garnishes to go along like apples, walnuts, grapes and crackers. Was hoping for some cheeses a little more exciting. Check this place out. There will be a wait on the weekends but that's a good sign right!???

I don't even know why I love this place so much! The large inviting fireplace inside in the winter and the clean patio outside during the summer just sit well with me. There is quite a large selection of wine, and the food always tastes so good with it! Sometimes there is a wait for a table but they always predict the wait within a few minutes.

I have been a half dozen times for work, and have yet to be impressed. I found the food mediocre and overpriced. For the price, I would highly recommend going somewhere else.

Was absolutely worth heading over!

redstone almost never disappoints. they're pricey but their food is worth it. they have a warm, calm and relaxing ambiance. ive never had a bad experience w/ their wait staff. will definitely go back again.

(3)D K.

Great food. Prime Dip Sandwich was very good and Lobster Bisque was fantastic.
(5)Dave C.
Excellent rotisserie chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. Desserts are meant to be shared because they are HUGE. Deconstructed banana cream pie and chocolate chip cookie sundae were too much food for three of us but both were delicious.
(5)Christine S.

Nice place, good atmosphere, the buffalo shrimp is insanely good.

This is my favorite restaurant in MN! Great food, great service! The Red stone burger is my ultimate! I would say it is the best burger in the state! Forget about the Juicy Lucy!

The side room we were in was quiet an dtrh etables far apart. Food and service was great

(2)Steve J.
(5)Dan P.

(2)Gretchen B.
(3)April L.

(2)Josh K.

(5)Andrew T.
(4)CJ D.
Patio bartender guy is SOOOOOOOO loud and obnoxious. Relax dude, that's what we're trying to do here.
(3)Cacilie K.

(2)Jennifer L.
The food can be a little pricy for an American restaurant but I have never had a bad meal here and the staff has always been on top of everything. I especially like the scallops, lobster bisque, and Buffalo shrimp.
(4)Montessahall H.

Such a great place. Go here about once a month. Always great service, food, and a wonderful atmosphere.

(2)Courtney J.
(3)Greg P.
Very good!!! Stopped in for dinner but end up just getting Buffalo Wings and a Caesar Salad but it was so filling that is all I needed. Service by Justin the Bartender was excellent. I'd go back!!
(4)Monica N.

(3)Geni R.
(3)Tanya D.
I have been a half dozen times for work, and have yet to be impressed. I found the food mediocre and overpriced. For the price, I would highly recommend going somewhere else.
(1)Mandy K.

I went here for my 21st birthday with my family and had so much fun trying their huge selections of great drinks! Delicious food, classy atmosphere. I'm a huge fan!
(4)Patrick M.

Was absolutely worth heading over!

redstone almost never disappoints. they're pricey but their food is worth it. they have a warm, calm and relaxing ambiance. ive never had a bad experience w/ their wait staff. will definitely go back again.

Almost too much for one person ... but I try.
(5)Jason E.
Awesome awesome awesome! We started our meal off with the fondu pot which was the best we've had. My wife had the chicken and BBQ rib combo and I had the dry aged ny strip. Very well prepared and presented. The wait staff did a tremendous job.
(5)Brock L.

Nice place, good atmosphere, the buffalo shrimp is insanely good.
(4)Nadine G.

This is my favorite restaurant in MN! Great food, great service! The Red stone burger is my ultimate! I would say it is the best burger in the state! Forget about the Juicy Lucy!
(5)Cheryl O.
Saturday night sibling dinner. Food was excellent although a little spendy. Our waiter, Kevin did a very nice job which only improved our dining experience!
(4)Charlie S.
(5)Bob J.
The side room we were in was quiet an dtrh etables far apart. Food and service was great
(5)Victoria D.
(2)Steve J.
(5)Dan P.

(3)Judy C.
We've been here several times since they opened after Christmas. The menus has a few new items that aren't at all locations. All of our entrees have been wonderful. The staff is courteous! Nicholas is awesome! He took time out to give us a tour on our first visit. Can't wait for the patio to open!!
(4)Vee V.

(2)Jake S.

(3)CJ D.
Patio bartender guy is SOOOOOOOO loud and obnoxious. Relax dude, that's what we're trying to do here.
(3)Cacilie K.
I don't even know why I love this place so much! The large inviting fireplace inside in the winter and the clean patio outside during the summer just sit well with me. There is quite a large selection of wine, and the food always tastes so good with it! Sometimes there is a wait for a table but they always predict the wait within a few minutes.

(3)Rob M.
Classy upscale bar and grill feel. The baby back ribs are delicious! The burgers are fantastic! And the banana cream dessert is scrupulous. The Stoli doli is a tasty treat also!
(4)CliffordJayson C.
Very delicious new york strip. Probably this is the best steak i tried during my stay here in MN. My friends feedback on their food are awesome too and they complete the foods literally clean. The waitress are very fast and kind also.
(5)Andrew T.
(4)Jenn S.

(2)Jennifer L.
The food can be a little pricy for an American restaurant but I have never had a bad meal here and the staff has always been on top of everything. I especially like the scallops, lobster bisque, and Buffalo shrimp.
(4)Montessahall H.

I have been a half dozen times for work, and have yet to be impressed. I found the food mediocre and overpriced. For the price, I would highly recommend going somewhere else.
